At Messiah Lutheran School (MLS), we've been Building Brighter Futures on the
Foundation of Christ since 1943.
MLS offers a quality, Christian education for children in Kindergarten through Eighth
grades as well as children 2 to 5 years old in our Early Learning Center.
We strive to provide programs that will nurture and guide students to know Christ and His love for them, and show God’s love and forgiveness throughout the day.
MLS provides a setting for each child to become a fully developed Christian in all dimensions of life: spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and creatively.
The MLS curriculum is structured around the core subjects of language arts, reading, math, science and social studies. Students also receive daily instruction in religion, art, music and physical education.
MLS is fully accredited through the Missouri Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA) and has also received National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA) accreditation from the Lutheran Church-Missouri. The school complies with and in many cases, exceeds Missouri State academic standards.
Small Classes & Committed Teachers Benefit Children
At MLS, our class sizes average 14 students to one teacher. None of our classes exceed 25 students, so every child is guaranteed individualized attention. Students and teachers in small class settings form faster and stronger bonds than those in classes with more students. Such bonds lead to improved student participation and engagement which leads to success in the classroom.
All MLS teachers and staff share a strong Christian background, which results in close-knit family-like atmosphere. MLS staff, administrators, pastors, parents, teachers and supporters form a community committed to providing a safe and loving learning environment.
